You’re not alone.
Here are answers to the most common questions I hear from new and expecting parents. If you’re wondering about something you don’t see here, just ask, I’m happy to walk you through it.
A doula provides non-medical support before, during, and after birth. That includes physical comfort, emotional support, advocacy, birth education, and postpartum care. I’m not here to replace your provider, I’m here to complement your care team and center you in every decision and experience.
Midwives provide medical care during pregnancy and birth. Doulas focus on emotional, physical, and educational support. I don’t deliver babies or perform clinical tasks, but I do help you feel calm, confident, and fully supported through your entire journey.
Most families reach out between 20–30 weeks, but it’s never too early (or too late) to get support. I recommend scheduling a consult as soon as you feel ready to build your birth team, I book a limited number of clients each month to provide high-touch care.
Both. I support all types of births, home, hospital, birth center. What matters most is that your birth experience aligns with your values, and that you feel safe and supported in your environment.
Absolutely. Birth planning is a big part of our prenatal work together. We’ll talk through your options, preferences, and possible scenarios, so you walk into birth with clarity and confidence, not confusion.
Then we adapt together. Birth is unpredictable, but being supported means you don’t have to figure it all out in real time by yourself. I’m there to help you stay grounded, make informed decisions, and feel empowered no matter how things unfold.
Postpartum care focuses on helping you recover, reflect, and feel seen in the early weeks after birth. That might include emotional check-ins, newborn care guidance, processing your birth, or simply being a calm, supportive presence while you adjust to your new rhythm.
Yes. I offer virtual sessions for prenatal and postpartum support, and virtual-only packages for families outside my travel area. During labor, I can also provide virtual coaching if we aren’t working together in person.
Both. I support all family structures. If you have a partner, I’ll help them feel informed and confident in their role. If you’re birthing solo, I’ll be your steady presence every step of the way.
That’s what the consult is for. We’ll talk through where you are, what kind of support you need, and what level of care feels right for your birth and postpartum season. There’s no pressure, just a conversation to help you get clarity.
Yes. I offer flexible payment options through Klarna. We'll talk through all the details during your consult so you can make the best decision for your needs and budget.
You can schedule your free consult [right here]. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for in a doula, how I work, and whether we’re a good fit.
